Thanks, David, for the additional info re, the Comic-Con Icon Award. Actually, tho - I didn't say that Spike initiated or owned the Icon Award. But, given the lack of detail on the Icons and the juxtaposition, I can see how the reader could confuse the two. and thanks for posting! mm


The Icon Award is actually a Comic-Con Award that was created by Comic-Con to be given, specifically, to someone who has helped to promote comic books and art to a wider audience.

The Scream Awards is a production of Spike TV that was created to honor the genre of horror, sci-fi, fantasy and comic books, long over-looked by mainstream Hollywood.

The Icon Award belongs to Comic-Con but is given out at the national awards show in partnership with Spike TV
